Chongqing University, a top-notch comprehensive Chinese research university, was founded in 1929. It is one of the “Project 985” and “Project 211” universities as well as the national "Double-first-class" Project universities in China.
The School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) of Chongqing University was founded in 1937 and accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA as the 112th business school in the world receiving triple accreditations. SEBA currently has doctoral programs and postdoctoral mobile stations in two first-level disciplines, business administration and applied economics, and has 137 fulltime faculty members in total. Its Business Administration was ranked the 12th (top 4%) in China in 2022 ARWU Best Subject Ranking. In the past 5 years, faculty of SEBA got more than 70 national research funds including 1 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 2 National Key R&D Plan Projects,10 key national projects and published13 papers on UTD journals, 18 papers on FT journals and more than 30 papers on ABS 4 star journals.
