School of Economics & management of Inner Mongolia University was founded in 1978. After about 40 years of development, School of Economics & management has two disciplines: economics and management, 6 faculties: theoretical Economics, Applied Economics, Business and Administration, Management Science, Finance and Accounting, and 8 research centers, such as Regional Economy Research Center, Industrial Economy Research Center and so on. Up to September 2016, the school has 74ull-time teachers, which is comprised of 14professors, 24associate professors and 49 doctorate personnel. 1 person became the member of “New Century Talents Project”, 2 people became the members of "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program”, and 4 people became the members of “Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region ‘Prairie Talent’ Project”, and there are also 3 “New Century 321 Talent Project” first-level members. Current students of the school include 1303 undergraduate (including foreign students), 196 academic master students (including foreign students), 584 professional-degree master students and 170 EMBA students. From 2010 to 2016, there are 34 projects of School of Economics & Management approved by National Science Foundation of China and National Social Science Foundation of China. School of Economics & Management also undertake more than 100 projects at all levels of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The team of “the sustainable development of resource-based industries and resource-rich areas” became the “innovation team development plan” team of the Ministry of Education of China in 2012. By the broad support of the community, School of Economics & Management put forth effort to improve education quality and the function of the school.
