Call For Papers: CES Sessions at the 2027 ASSA Meeting

The Chinese Economists Society (CES) invites submissions for our three sessions at the 2027 ASSA meeting, scheduled for January 3–5 in Washington, DC, USA.  Please email your submissions to Dr. Kaiji Chen (Emory, kaiji.chen@emory.edu), Dr. Jue Ren (TCU, jue.ren@tcu.edu), and Dr. Wendong Zhang (Cornell, wendongz@cornell.edu), the CES Program Co-Chairs for the 2027 ASSA conference.

Important Dates and Submission Details:

• Deadline: April 30, 2026
• Decision Announcement: June 15, 2026
• Accepted presenters must submit their complete papers to the session chair and discussants by December 1, 2026.
• All participants must register for the ASSA 2027 conference.
• Submission to: Dr. Kaiji Chen (Emory, kaiji.chen@emory.edu), Dr. Jue Ren (TCU, jue.ren@tcu.edu), and Dr. Wendong Zhang (Cornell, wendongz@cornell.edu)

Requirements:

• Individual paper submissions should include:

-   the paper's title

-   authors' names and affiliations

-   a one-sentence description (up to 280 characters)

-   an abstract (up to 300 words)

-   three keywords

-   the full paper in PDF format (optional, but encouraged)

• Session proposals should include

-   a unifying theme

-   four papers with titles, authors

-   a designated chair/organizer and discussant for each paper

-   email addresses of the chair/organizer and all presenters

Note: Both individual paper submissions and session proposals are welcome.  We particularly encourage session proposals.  At least one author per submission must be an active CES member.  Priority may be given to submissions focusing on the Chinese economy.
