Describe:  About The Institute of Economic Research (IER) The Institute of Economic Research (IER) is dedicated to producing high-quality research on comprehensive economic and specific policy studies. We hold lectures and academic forums for teachers and students. Besides the research faculty, IER also have high quality research professionals from government agencies, financial institutions, SOEs and so on who contribute to the research projects. Affiliated research entities including the National Economic Engineering Research Center(Taking the national economy as the research object, we regard the it as a systematic project, assess and forecast the economic trend, monitor and analyze the economic operation, current economic situation of major countries, and put forward suggestions), the Comprehensive Economy Research Center(conducting in-depth research on major policies, fields, different countries and economic indicators in economic operation, such as fiscal and taxation policies, monetary and financial policies, employment rate, price and pension issues), the National and Regional Economies Research Center(conducting in-depth research on important policies, fields, countries and economic indicators in economic operation, such as fiscal and taxation policies, monetary and financial policies, population employment, price and pension issues), are fully operational. About Beijing Language and Culture University Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It was established in 1962 under the guidance of Premier Zhou Enlai. BLCU is known as the Mini-United Nations, it is the only university of its kind in China that offers Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students. Meanwhile, BLCU provides professional courses in various fields, such as foreign languages, Chinese, information science, economics, arts, and other majors to Chinese students.
