The Chinese Economists Society hosted a Reception party at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on January 6, 2007. More than 200 participants joined the meeting. Professor Haizheng Li coordinated the meeting. Speakers included the elected CES president (Jack Hou), and representatives from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Renmin University, Naikai University, Central University of Finance and Economics, China Center for Economic Research of Peking University, School of Economics of Peking University, Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, Tsinghua University. Following the CES business meeting, about 100 CES members joined a banquet party in Szechwan Restaurant.
