This is a full-time position in Beijing, China, at the PKU-Lincoln Center office at Peking University. The Center was established by Peking University and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy to promote research, training, and dialogue in the areas of land, urban, and fiscal policy in China.
In cooperation with the Center Director, the primary responsibilities of the Visiting Fellow include identifying and leading academic research projects in the areas of Center expertise. The Visiting Fellow will be expected to manage research initiatives, research staff, preparation of research outcomes, and contribute to research projects academically through conducting original research, editing, and providing guidance to research staff.
Qualifications:
*PhD in economics, public policy, finance or other relevant field;
*Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, including econometrics, statistical analysis, and use of statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, EViews, etc., knowledge of GIS a plus;
*Demonstrated knowledge of China’s policy environment, including current reforms, in the areas of land, urban, and fiscal policy;
*Chinese (Mandarin) and English fluency, native-level Chinese preferred;
*Publication track record in Chinese and English;
*Experience as an editor or co-editor of academic journals is a plus;
*Superior communication and organizational skills.
